ATT Email Settings For Outlook 2016

An AT&T email setting regarding the latest version of Microsoft Outlook 2016 comes with recently updated settings. The steps are simple to follow and are in sequence form: –

ATT Email Auto Settings For Outlook 2016:-

  • Launch the outlook website
  • Signup for the new account
  • Go towards the left side and tab
  • Select top of the left bar of the web page
  • You can click on Info and account settings now
  • Click Add Account.
  • And then, type your Email id
  • It will automatically select “IMAP” as your updated settings
  • Click on Connect.
  • Then Finish and close

Manual ATT Settings For Outlook 2016 (way 1):-

  • Launch the outlook website
  • Select file from the left side of the webpage
  • Click on Info and Account settings
  • Moving ahead click on Manual Account set up or Additional Server Types and click on Next.
  • You will get a display having options with POP or IMAP, choose according to your need and click on Next.
  • Enter all the relevant details in the blank spaces, later select PoP or I MAP
  • Advanced Tab ensure settings has been in update for PoP or I MAP

POP3 Port Settings For ATT.NET Email

  • Incoming Port (POP 3) ; 100
  • Outgoing Port( SMTP): 465 or 587

General Settings For POP3

  • Secure- Port : 995 and Secure type SSL( Accept all certificates)
  • Insecure Port : 110 and security type :none(Accept all certificates)

Use the following type of encrypted connection is none

IMAP Port Settings For ATT.NET Email

  • Incoming Port :143 , Outgoing Port :465
  • Secure Port:993 and Security Type (SSL/TLS
  • Insecure Port 143 and Security Type is none

NOTE – If you have secured port and SSL and TLS settings, check the server requires a secure connection for both Incoming and Outgoing Calls.

General Port Settings Sor ATT.NET

Outgoing (SMTP) Secure- Port 465 and security type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)

Outgoing security Port for roaming server: Secure Port 587 and secure type (SSL/TLS) (Accept all Certificates)

Outgoing SMTP roaming server

Insecure Port: 587 and Security Type is none (Accept all certificates)

Manual Setup For ATT Email on Outlook 2016 (Way 2)

  • Step 1: Launch the website outlook
  • Step2: Go to the left side of the page
  • Step 3: Select information and account settings in the icon box having multiple options
  • Step 4: Add the additional account option in the section
  • Step 5: Moving ahead click on account settings

Now moving further you are needed to add all the email details

  • Step 1: Insert Email and add all the necessary details in the given space.
  • Step 2: Select advanced options
  • Step 3: Let me set up my account manually
  • Step 4: click on connect

The screen will display now account options with IMAP (POP)

Here are the basic steps for server settings

Enter below incoming and outgoing details

Incoming mail: You can choose go to IMAP and POP settings from the below Email settings .

POP port settings for ATT.NET

Incoming Port: 100, Outgoing port 462

General Settings for POP

1) Secure Port: 995 and Secure type SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)

2) Insecure –Port 10 and secure type none (Accept all certificates)

Not clicked: This server requires encrypted connection (SSL)

Use the following type of encrypted connection is none

General Settings for POP

!) Secure Port: 995 and Secure Type SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)

2) Insecure Port: 110 and secure type is none

IMAP port settings for ATT.NET

Incoming Port: 143 and Outgoing Port: 465

Secure Port 993 and secure type SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)

Insecure Port: 143 and secure type is none

Not clicked: This server requires encrypted connection

Use the following type of encrypted connection is none

Note: If you use SSL/TLs settings, check “this server requires secure connection” (SSL) for box in both outgoing and incoming calls.
